Welcome to the Farmville Breastfeeding Support Group! Our primary purpose is to provide information, support, and encouragement to moms who want to breastfeed. Our meetings can also provide mothers and babies with an opportunity to meet other moms and babies who are breastfeeding and enjoy some social time away from their daily routine.
Announcing:
I (Beth) have purchased an electronic baby and toddler scale. I think this will be useful for our group in two ways:
First of all, this scale will allow you to weight your baby at each meeting, allowing you to track your child's growth. This is particularly useful with newborns, as it will let you know whether your baby is getting adequate nutrition and growing at a healthy rate.
Second, if you are concerned about your milk production or your baby's ability to latch on and suck correctly, you can weigh your baby before and after nursing. This will allow you to determine how much milk your baby has consumed during this nursing session.
